If you are a youth residing in ASEAN (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, the Phillipines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos) between 8-12 years old, we invite you to participate in the Regional Drawing Competition on the Occasion of the 2009 ASEAN Day for Disaster Management (ADDM) and International Day for Disaster Reduction (IDDR).
This competition is to promote the increase of disaster reduction awareness among youths in ASEAN. This year’s theme is “Safe Hospitals – Hospitals in ASEAN Safe from Disasters”.
For Participants in Singapore
You need to submit a drawing entry (A1 size paper – 594 mm x 841 mm) to Saint Patrick’s School by 4th August 2009. The drawing should depict how hospital can be safe from disasters. Drawing should be in color using any coloring medium. Drawing caption of not more than 5 lines can be added to the drawing. All details of the entry form must be completed in English or be accompanied by a translation in English which includes;
• Full name
• Birth date (day/mm/yr)
• Home address with telephone number
• Name of school and grade
• School address including telephone and fax numbers
• Email address (if you have one)
The prizes for the national level competition are as follows:
1st Prize $500 vouchers and certificate
2nd Prize $350 vouchers and certificate
3rd Prize $200 vouchers and certificate
7 Consolation Prizes $100 vouchers and certificates
The three (3) best entries at the national level will be representing Singapore in the regional competition. Winners of the 2009 ADDM’s Regional Drawing Competition will further receive the following cash prizes sponsored by Siam Commercial Bank:
1st prize: USD 1,000
2nd prize: USD 500
3rd prize: USD 300
