Hi i am a student from catholic junior college. My project work group would like to ask some questions regarding how singapore is preparing for the upcoming youth olympic games. So we would like to know if it is possible to do so and whether to email our questions to you or post our questions here directly.
Thank you for your kind understanding. (:
Hi Riyaas,

Hi, I am a student from NIE. My group is currently working on a project regarding the roles and responsibilities of SCDF officers (Fire fighters, HAZMAT Specialist, DART Specialist and Paramedics) .
May I know where I can get more details regarding the responsibilities of these officers?
Thank you very much for your attention and help.
Sheila Tay
Hi Sheila, thanks for your message. You can find out more about the roles and responsibilities of our fire and rescue specialists, paramedic and DART specialists on our SCDF recruitment website. http://www.scdf247.sg/
It should provide ample information for your project.
If you have any more enquiries, feel free to click the “Ask SCDF” button on the website itself.

Hi, I’m an IT educator in a local institution, and I am thinking of ideas for IT projects that could be of relevance to SCDF and providers of emergency services in general. Is there any contact with whom I could discuss the needs/problems that SCDF has, which could benefit from IT?
Hi Keat, we’ve the relevant officer to contact you.
Hi, I am a student working on a project that could result in smooth traffic lights for emergency vehicles.
I have a few queries I hope could be answered in some detail.
1) How does the in-house support system used in dispatches work?
2) What matrix is used in the classification of cases?
3)How large is the average operational boundary of each fire station?
I am also trying to look for statistics regarding response times and such but have been unable to download or view the annual report. I have failed to do so on at least 5 occasions.
Thank you very much.
Zhui Pei,
thank you for your keen interest. Please email your queries to SCDF_CSC@scdf.gov.sg as it is not possible for me to answer your questions on this blog.
